The Second Saturday Skate

We have an indoor skate in the Dutch Barn at Llanishen High School on the second Saturday of every month. Its great fun, a sessions for adults and children. Lots of people are learning to skate in this friendly and safe environment. There is a ICP, IISA Certified Instructor and several experience skaters who are only too willing to give you advice . Have a look at the learn to skate link for more information.

Skates can be hired given advanced notice (click here for details) and lessons can be arranged.

Evening Street Skating

We skate 8 to 15 miles along the Taff Trail, around Cardiff Bay and other local routes. We are lucky in Cardiff in having a good range of different possible skate routes.

Meet in Sophia Gardens car park at 6.30pm (MAP).

Weather Permitting - we do not skate if it's wet.

You have to have some basic skating skills, be able to brake and turn and cope with some rough surfaces. The routes we take are adapted to the skills of those who turn up for the skate.

If you are a beginner come along to our Thursday evening introduction to street skating session.

We will skate whenever we can! There will be somebody out most dry evenings. Have a look on the forum, we usually post when we are going ourt, and come along and join us.

The Thornbury Skate

Particularly during the winter, when we can't skate outdoors, some of us have been driving over to Thornbury for their Tuesday evening skate session. 7.00 to 8.00pm. They are a welcoming group and skate in a really nice sports hall. More nice safe skating for the less confident.

Please have a look at the forum and calendar to see what else we get up to
